During my PhD, I helped form a student organization dedicated to South Asian arts and was the Vice-President and President of the Penn State Society for Indian Music and Arts (SIMA) in 2014 and 2015. My article titled Cultural Passport: Demystifying Traditional Indian Music and Art was published in the journal IK: Other Ways of Knowing
In 2019, I co-wrote the story for Rituchakra: A Musical Journey Through the Seasons, a unique musical production featuring a melange of original music, dance, story-telling, and art work, performed by student artists from SIMA and Nritya, and by well-known visiting artists from India.
